"Beautiful hotel in the heart of Tuscany amazing staff and good Wi-Fi. Parking was accessible in the restaurant. Attached had delicious food. The pool was great as well."

"I would absolutely recommend Castello Vicchiomaggio! Our room was magnificent and much larger than anticipated— very clean, had all the extras we needed (hair dryer/iron/etc), and the air conditioning worked great! The property is gorgeous and the view is unbeatable. In addition to visiting the tasting room on the property, we also visited several wineries in the area throughout our stay (Antinori and Castello Verrazzano) and it was a great home base. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant one night (delicious!) and the included breakfast was a great perk. The pool area is also very nice and they provided a pool bag and extra towels in our room to use there. We were also very charmed by the sweet cat that lives on the grounds and the birds (house martins) that were in the area during the time of our stay! The staff was always helpful and kind— I have nothing but great things to say. One warning: our room was on the third floor of the building and there are no elevators. Luckily my husband was with me and able to haul our luggage up the tight stairs. If you have mobility issues, I would recommend asking for a room on a lower floor."

"I cannot say enough about the beautiful home this is. The house is lovely, large enough for our family of 15 -(70 to 5 months) with plenty of room to spread out. The hosts, Beatrice and Japoco were top notch! We had them provide family style meals each night- best decision of the trip! The food was superb. They kindly made accommodations for the kids. After a day of sightseeing- arriving “home” to a home cooked meal was the best. Enjoyed cocktails poolside or on the amazing tower that provided beautiful Tuscan sunsets. Absolutely stunning and a wonderful hidden gem. The home is stocked with fantastic local wines very well priced. Highly recommend"

"This hotel was absolutely fantastic! Set in the beautiful scenic Chianti Hills of Tuscany. The buildings and the property had been a 16th century village. And all of the buildings had been beautifully restored to return it to originally and feel, but to include all the modern amenities. The staff were all highly. professional,well friendly, courteous, welcoming and extremely accommodating – going above and beyond with every request presented to them. The rooms are all clean, comfortable with spotless, modern bathrooms, and importantly, during our stay while air conditioned. The daily complementary breakfast buffet was always well prepared. With a great variety of fresh pastries, biscotti, and cakes and numerous coffee and beverage options and coldhot cereals, abundant freshly cut bowls delicious fruit. Also including several protein items, including scrambled and poached eggs, fried prosciutto. With several other meat and cheese options to top up the protein.. The lunch is a wonderful selection, including great salads, sandwiches and pastas. And the dinners were wonderfully prepared Italian specialties with many meat and pasta options. Despite a few excursions into Florence, we took most of our meals at the hotel, where we usually ate on an outdoor patio, surrounded by the beautiful countryside and attended to by the charming and ever-helpful staff. I cannot recommend the Salvadonica hotel strongly enough!"
