"Overall, the location was fantastic. The house was spacious, clean, and well-prepared by the housekeeping team. We truly enjoyed the proximity to the dog beach, the seals on the bay, and the views of the marina from the roof. The beach toys and equipment were also a great touch.However, we encountered several issues that we suggested the Management Company review: - Plumbing: The upstairs water took five minutes to get hot, and the downstairs shower head only produced a mist, making it unusable for our group of seven. - Maintenance: The rooftop BBQ required deep cleaning due to grease overflow before we could use it. Additionally, the ice maker in the refrigerator was non-functional. -Climate Control: The house became uncomfortably hot at night due to the 75-degree AC restriction after 11 PM. The bedroom fans were insufficient, and outside noise prevented us from leaving windows open. - Security: The garage door lock did not work to open or close it. On our final day, the front door lock batteries died, preventing us from locking the house and delaying our departure into the rush hour. - Supplies: The kitchen lacked a functioning can opener and a standard toaster (the toaster oven was a poor substitute). Bedside clocks were also absent. None of the above though required immediate attention, neither did they ruin our fond memories made with our kids/grandkids & pets. "

"This place was perfect! We had 10 people and spent the evening out in Ventura, but we almost wished we’d stayed in. There was plenty of room for all of us, the kitchen was huge, the roof deck was beautiful. All in all, so worth it!"

"We have been renting homes in the Hollywood Beach/ Strand area for 15 years, and have had varying experiences with the layout, condition, and preparation of the homes by the owners for guests. With this particular rental, there was very little effort put forth in the stocking, and preparation of the home. We ended up taking multiple trips to the store to purchase basics such as paper towels, and trash bags. In addition we purchased other needed things such as a hair dryer, cooking utensils,and curtains for the upstairs bathroom, to provide some privacy for our other guests. Other noted items, were the mostly expired cooking products in the pantry, and worn out bed linens and towels. On the upside, the home has a beautiful layout, and is in an excellent location. Our overall all impressions was that minimal effort was put forth into preparing the home for us, which was unfortunate because we traveled from out of state."

The beach is massive, empty with the most gorgeous sunsets. You feel like you’re at the end of the world but at the same time you have access to everything you could possibly want in a cosmopolitan city. The house is very clean, kitchen and bathroom spotless. The first night we got locked out. It was a little frustrating because we had to talk to four different people to get help. However, every single person was lovely and they came and replaced the lock within an hour. The microwave broke the next morning and they came and replaced that extremely quickly also. The kitchen and the bathroom are newly renovated and gorgeous. There were so many thick fluffy towels. It felt very luxurious if you go during the summer, I would ask if they have air conditioning. When we were there, it was cold so we didn’t need it. They do have heat, however. We would highly recommend this serene beach home."
