"House was beautifully well equipped, immaculately clean and tidy. It’s in an excellent location only 15 minutes from Carcassonne but with absolute peace and quiet. Local pool in the Village was great in the heat. The local butcher carries bread, pastries, preserves and lovely wine, not forgetting meat. Laurence was wonderful with ideas of where to visit, and was available for anything we needed but otherwise very discreet."

"We've stayed in many self catering cottages and had a very different experience in this one. On VRBO the gite is advertised as having a lake view, its no where near a lake! After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day. There was no mention of this on VRBO, so the owner waived the charge. We arrived at 4pm on a Sunday and immediately had to find a supermarket as no basics/welcome pack was provided e.g bread,...

"We stayed 11 nights at the gite. Great for exploring the area around Carcassonne, Albi, Narbonne, etc. Beautiful surroundings, extremely quiet (a must for me) with a nice pool and friendly horses who will occasionally visit you over the fence (carrots are appreciated). The hosts are very pleasant and helpful. The nearest grocery store is about 20 mn away so you do need to plan a bit."

"I want to thank Tim & Hilde for the most glorious holiday. The gite was lovely and very clean. It had tons of space (inside & out) for our family (we are a family of 5 with older children) & is set in the most beautiful surroundings. We loved our evening bbq’s, sitting at the back of the house for long dinners in the warm evenings. The kitchen was a lot bigger than the photos and loved our breakfasts as a family in there. "An excellent choice. Right by the canal, to spend many happy hours just watching the boats go by. There were only two of us, so plenty of room. Very well equipped for a self catering holiday. Bedrooms are huge, as are the beds, which were very comfortable. Shower rooms large and super clean. Welcome pack amazing, and further items during our stay. "We had a wonderful stay here, the place is centrally located amongst the vineyards. The settings is private and well appointed. We laid out at night on the loungers watching the stars. As it is located in the countryside the night sky was an amazing display of bright stars. Easy drive to Carcassonne or the Mediterranean. The town of la liviniare is close 5min drive with two restaurants. The host was welcoming and helpful on things to do in the region. We enjoyed our stay and would come again."

"Perfect mix of rustic charm and mod cons. Very quiet and private pool area with extra outdoor towels, good parasol and comfy loungers. Useful extra touches like amazing BBQ, sharp knives, bluetooth speaker, mosquito supplies, etc.. Short walk to Esperaza, which is a friendly town with some good bars and restaurants. Thank you 😊"

"Enough space for a family of 5. Property located on D road through Ornaisons. Parking just off property, easy to access. Good location to get to both beach and Carcassonne. 10 mins to nearest supermarket. Nice outdoor eating space. Beautiful pine forest behind property."

"Erick and Isabelle's house was simply delightful. Spacious, comfortable, quiet, beautifully furnished and exceptionally well- equipped for our 2 week stay. They were lovely hosts, always happy to offer advice/recommendations on where to eat/visit. Welcome basket of delicious local produce was gratefully received too! Star of the show has to be Goose the dog who gleefully joined in the river swimming! Thoroghly enjoyed our stay!"

"We had a lovely stay at Montbrun des Corbieres. The village is very quaint, no shops or boulangerie, but a very good bread vending machine once you got the hang of it.! Great location for touring the Languedoc-Roussillon region, within 1.15 hours drive of Perpignan, Montpelier, Toulouse etc. 25 mins from Carcassonne and Narbonne. Canal du Midi 15 mins. Check out La Redorte for great canal side restaurant. Beware most restaurants in the area close at 2pm and re open at 7pm. So if you are eating...
