This is a bayfront hotel in the quaint town of Castellammare di Stabia on the Gulf of Naples. We stayed in one of the superior rooms (not much more expensive than a regular one), and it was huge! The king bed was very comfortable. There was a massive jacuzzi in the bathroom, but it sounded like a jackhammer if you turned the jets on, so we only used it as a regular bath. Every room has a balcony right on the gulf, which is lovely. The views of the town to the left and Vesuvius to the right are beautiful, especially at sunset and at night when everything is lit up. There were fireworks in town and across the bay in another town our first night (no idea why), which was very special! We did room service for breakfast, which was good, and ate in town for dinner (and gelato) both nights. The “downtown” area is a short walk down the promenade from the hotel. The promenade is well-lit and has wide sidewalks and many benches, so it was a nice place to walk any time of day. The metro/bus station is less than a five minute walk away. We took a train from main Naples station and then walked to the hotel, which was very easy. The staff was professional and helpful. They offered different options for day trips and arranged a cab to take us to Pompeii.
