"Friendly staff. Place was really cute, clean, spacious. Great location. Parking was easily availble. The beds however were too soft. I found them uncomfortable, woke up with backpain. Also, footsteps from outside or next rooms kept us awake at night. "

"Gorgeous, historic property with comfortable rooms. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. A daily breakfast buffet that offers something for everyone in a beautiful setting. Gardens are the best Carmel has to offer. Two features that need improvement: please offer “real” in room coffee - not instant powdered stuff!! And please provide instruction in operation of in room temperature controls - hard to use this! Thanks for a lovely stay in a sublime hotel."

"Lovely property. Superb hot tub. Excellent welcome from Elizabeth at reception. Amazing Barman at adjacent Brophys Tavern. Room very nice, but strangely lacking in places to hang anything. Nowhere to hang bathrobes or wet bathing suits. Towels are at opposite end of bathroom, meaning a slippery walk across wet tile to get a towel. No room around basin for toiletries. "

"We primarily chose this property due to being pet friendly and found the grass area to be half dead and the other half was not mowed. The room was fine except that the shower door did not latch. The area was very walkable and had much to look at in terms of restaurants, shops, and the beach. Alexis was very pleasant and an asset who was helpful and nice."

"The staff was very helpful, gave us a lot of suggestions to local food and drinks. The location was brilliant, right next to downtown Carmel and 8min walk to beach. They also serve breakfast to your door around 8 am daily, which is delicious and has balanced ingredients. My only complaint is the soundproofing was poor, you can easily hear the voice in the next room. Fortunately everyone was mostly quiet during my stay."
