As you approach the hobbit house you'll be greeted by a charming small green door hidden within a developing garden. Complete with a stream and weir and fragrant herbs in the summer. Step inside and you'll find yourself in a cozy and inviting space, filled with natural light and earthy tones.
The Hobbit House features a comfortable living area, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a delicious meal, including a stove, fridge, and all the necessary utensils.
You'll find free-range chicken eggs in the coop for you to have along with a fire in the wood store for any outdoor or indoor fires you need to keep you warm.

Set in the picturesque Rossendale Valley, Edenfield is a peaceful village that perfectly blends rural charm with convenient access to nearby towns and Manchester. Surrounded by rolling hills and traditional stone cottages, it’s an ideal spot for a relaxing countryside escape or a base to explore the North West.
The Hobbit House is tucked away within a large, private garden that sits behind our main house, offering a secluded and peaceful stay with lovely views of the surrounding greenery.
Just a short walk from the property, you’ll find a couple of welcoming pubs, a local café, and a handy village shop. Ramsbottom, only a 5-minute drive away, is a bustling market town filled with independent eateries, bakeries, and quirky shops. It also hosts regular farmers’ markets and community events, offering a genuine taste of Lancashire life.
For lovers of the outdoors, there are plenty of scenic walking and cycling routes nearby, including the Irwell Sculpture Trail, Holcombe Hill, and Peel Tower, which all offer fantastic views across the valley. In the winter months, the hills become popular for sledging and snowy strolls.
Getting Around
Hobbit House is ideally located in the charming village of Edenfield, offering easy access to both countryside walks and nearby towns. For those with a car, the property sits conveniently on the A680, linking you quickly to Ramsbottom, Rawtenstall, and Bury—all within a 10-15 minute drive. The M66 motorway is just minutes away, making Manchester accessible in under 30 minutes.
You can park off the road on the gravel drive. Please note that the entrance/exit is on a bend in the road, so do take extra care when arriving and leaving the property.
Public transport is also available, with a bus stop right outside the house offering regular services to Bury, Rawtenstall, and beyond. From Bury, you can connect to Manchester via the Metrolink tram service for a smooth and scenic ride into the city.
For walkers and cyclists, the surrounding Rossendale Valley provides stunning trails, and the nearby Irwell Sculpture Trail and Peel Tower are just a short distance away.
