"The property does not have air conditioning, there are no phones in the rooms so if you have an issue or need something, you have to see someone at the desk. There were no washcloths in the bathroom. The beds were hard."

"A lot of updating was evidently in progress which we were warned about in advance, but we were not disturbed at all as it was a weekend. The room was very spacious and comfy with a huge comfy bed. Staff were lovely. The main building and grounds were gorgeous. Our only niggle was lack of enough milk in the room (we love lots of tea and coffee), and one of the sachets of milk was off, as it turned lumpy in the tea). We didn't complain as only there for one night."

"The hotel is very strange and you have to check in online then you get given a code walk to your room and on the wall next to your room is a lockbox where you enter that code to get your key to get into the room all of that takes a very long time and it feels more like a Airbnb rental than an actual hotel. The bar has no drinks to sell and we soon found out in the town that the hotel has recently shut down and reopened under new ownership. My hunch would be the new owners have never run a hotel before."

"Beautiful location - from which one really does step out into the New Forest itself; I'd read other reviews but hadn't quite grasped how "in the forest" it feels from the front - this really helped make the trip special for our party. The house itself is lovely - we really didn't want for anything during our stay. The layout is well designed; a large, well equipped kitchen/ dining room became our main social space, though the living room is also very comfortable. The upstairs bedrooms are a very good size with comfortable beds. There's a slightly smaller twin room downstairs, which is still very comfortable for two. Communications with the owner, Jane, were fast and friendly. I can recommend this accommodation without reservation - it is superb - thank you Jane."

Every possible item you could need was included and the layout of the rooms was perfect and the accommodation as a whole was very spacious for our party of 4 adults.Extremely quiet location and perfect for exploring the New Forest.Excellent communication with Jenny before, during and after our stay..10/10, highly recommended, feel super lucky to have found it "
