"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

"Great hotel, clean. I would like to mention the staff at breakfast were excellent, couldn’t do enough for you and cleaned crockery away quickly….in particular there was an Irish lady who seemed to be in charge and she was fantastic. I would argue that our bed was rather small for 2 but that maybe my fault for not booking correct room. Overall great stay. "
