Amazing property on the outside, however the rooms are tacky rather than elegant. V bad job in preserving this beautiful iconic building in Cardiff.
Picked this hotel because it has an elevator and one of our group has mobility issues. But turns out there is only one elevator and we were in the wing that didn’t have an elevator. And there were no other options. The rooms were just about the ugliest I have ever seen , and clearly by choice -design choice that is. One of the rooms was not clean. Every night there was a really weird and very pound group in the hotel. The restaurant/bar were nice (tho also quite ugly). The staff were great and really the only redeeming feature.
unfortunately my wife sustained a head injury when falling outside the hotel which meant we had to spend the night in a&e thanks to the staff who were on duty they were great in assisting my wife untill the ambulance arrived they were very profesional and could not be more caring A VERY BIG THANKYOU TO THEM ALL my wife is now recovering at home having had stapels put in the wound THANKS TO ALL at the Exchange
Excellent decor and the restaurant was first class highly recommended
