"I wasn't sure what to expect before I arrived at the Derby Arms but the initial greeting was warm and sincere. My room was delightful, clean and well appointed with a good sized bathroom with both a bath and a choice of shower heads. For both nights I ate in the restaurant and was served by a charming and efficient waitress. In addition to the normal menu, a 'Specials' menu was offered which I'm pleased to report was different each night. The food was delicious, nothing pretentious and was nicely presented. Breakfast was ok. Limited but quite adequate. Yes - it was January and the weather was threatening a dusting of snow but it was shame that both the restaurant and bar were so quiet. I wish the Derby Arms every success and I will certainly consider returning. "
