"We were the first overnight guests for the new owners and forced them to accelerate their plans for taking guests!
They were lovely and could not have given us a warmer welcome.
They have great plans for the Bull Inn and we would love to go back in future to see the results. We wish them every success with their new venture. "
"A lovely country pub. The landlady was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of tea and coffee sachets in the room. The food was exceptional and the breakfast was amazing. Even freshly brewed coffee which you do not get in hotels. We were pleasantly surprised."
"Not very well organized with passwords etc. When I arrived, I had to wait for ~10-15 minutes for getting into the room because it was not ready.
Location is not confortable. It is ~2 km from the city center and the railway station on foot. The bathroom is shared with others, but in my case it was clean and proper."
"Very welcoming, friendly staff.
Beautiful attractive pub, with great amenities. Excellent food. Easy to park. Great ales! Lovely owners. Would definitely stay there again if we're in the area. "

"This site was just greenspace on the edge of an industrial estate when I grew up here and it seemed a little weird pulling into an area where I had my first driving lessons on a Saturday morning as it was all but deserted over the weekend. Not now, there's a busy looking pub literally staggering distance away, the ubiquitous Greggs, few other structures the purpose of which didn't register. Very quiet, all I can hear is doves cooing.
Staff friendly, nice to even have staff, last place I stayed was largely automated so only other humans were fellow guests.
Complimentary breakfast, none of this £15pppn extra nonsense and much better than any £15 rip off offerings. Lots of guys in work gear and German accents so probably popular with service/installation engineers working at operations on the industrial side.
One minor issue is the size of the car park. It didn't look to have much space when I checked in around 4pm, and was lucky to get the last one when I returned around 9pm after dining out. Does puzzle me as to why - in a era of expanding waistlines and growing obesity - are parking slots getting narrower? I'm not exactly Captain Lardy but even with sensibly/centrally parked cars, one needs to be like Stretch Armstrong or a contortionist to get in or out of the car without injury to self of damage to vehicle!"
"Was like a maze to get to my room, but the signs got me there. I understand the building is old, but the floor boards in my room were so loud & creeky that i worried i would disturb other customers beneath me.
Staff was very friendly & welcoming. They let me store my suitcase with them while i went to a funeral, it was no problem for them at all & the lady on the desk was very sweet & kind ☺ "
"Very nice hotel inside - few wear and tear items but nothing I couldn't live with. Staff were always friendly and nice, often having to deal with some perverse remarks from other guests.
They respect your privacy, especially if you're there on business or for confidential reasons."
"Excellent short, one night stop here, arrived about 1800, check in was smooth and quick, staff helpful and friendly, only a short walk to the room. The room was massive clean and the bed very comfortable. It was Sunday night and there was a painter in the corridor decorating, but quiet and no bother. Room had all the expected; toiletries, towels, Wi-Fi, large tv and even a trouser press.
We were up and out at 0600 the next morning to race in a local triathlon at Belvoir Castle, night porter was cheerful and polite as we left.
It’s easy to find, just off the motorway, has a pub only a 2min drive away for food and Grantham and Belvoir Castle close by.
VFM this has to be one of the best one night stops I’ve had in a hotel, it was less than £60 on hotels.com and I don’t have anything negative to say. Will definitely use again when I’m in the area. "
