"Rm was clean, shower was awesome, beds were so comfy and the ac worked well. the building it self is aged.... we were only there to sleep. Overall it was a great stay"
"The staff was amazing! From front desk to restaurant to poolside, they could not have been more engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. They definitely created and maintained the vibe.
The pool is fabulous - great for lap swimming early in the morning. And since poolside lounge chairs were all taken by 8am, there was an extra incentive to go early. One negative note about the pool - because it is open to day-pass visitors, it gets fairly crowded - and loud - from mid-morning through nightfall. I would not have wanted a poolside room.
The room decor kept up the vibe, with the largest mini-bar I've ever seen. King bed was extremely comfortable. Two issues: our first room had no hanging space or even a luggage rack. Apparently this is now a "thing" in hotels that appeal to a younger crowd (we were definitely the oldest people there). But the very accommodating staff moved us to another room with a rudimentary closet.
The room itself was damp, even with the AC going 24/7. Better ventilation would be great.
Overall, a great place to stay for a taste of "Old Hollywood glamour.""
