We spent 5 nights. Bed and pillow were comfortable - more so than Hyatt and Hiltons we have stayed at. Hot water was always available. Staff were very friendly. Daily room cleaning was available but we opted to set out trash when needed and it got emptied. And we set out used towels that got collected and they supplied fresh towels at the front counter or delivered them to our room.
Our hotel was on the edge of Little Italy. Lots of good food places in walking distance. One day we took a pedicab from the Embarcadero and Midway ship museum back to our hotel after walking to those points of interest. Fun ride. Another time we took an Uber from Petco park back. The Uber driver commented that we chose a great hotel in its location - near Little Italy. He said the Gas Lamp Quarter had a much bigger problem with homeless people. We felt safe walking several blocks including to Sea Port Village. The main lobby coffee machine even made hot chocolate which I indulged in many times. There is also a StarBucks across the street. My only issues were that the hotel is showing its age as in scratched table and room furniture, no fan in the bathroom for steam, and the balcony sliding glass door was only openable a little bit due to, i believe, broken wheels. But over all, I definitely would stay there again.
