The cove was very cute. Loved the witch cottage room. Details in decor were awesome. Great location and friendly staff. Clean room.

The hotel seemed relatively new, very clean and spacious. It was a quick 5 minute drive to all the main attractions in Salem. It had a small town feel which was nice. My only issue was the staffs lack of response to take care of my leaking toilet. The toilet was loose therefore not sealed properly on the gasket, thus it leaked toilet water every time we flushed it. We needed to put towels around the base of the toilet. Somewhat disgusting. It was leaking for 2 1/2 days prior to our departure. I understand it’s a small “mom and pop” run hotel and maintenance/plumber may not be immediately available but they should have tried something. Other than that, I would recommend the hotel.

We were excited to stay at this property when we booked. Unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations in many ways. First, with the exception of housekeeping, we did not find the staff accommodating or helpful. In fact, we found the overnight person rude and put off when we had to call because there was no complete bedding for the sofa bed despite our contacting the front desk beforehand to ensure we had bedding for the sofa bed and an extra blanket and pillow. Despite assurances we would have that, when we got there it had no sheets for our son and just a duvet insert and a pillow without cases. When I called I ended the phone call by telling my husband that the person seemed put off and did not apologize. I knew he had not hung up. When he came by he brought extra towels, sheets, but no blanket. He did apologize then but I think he did so because he heard me. Anyway, it was noisy at times as people walked outside the door to their own rooms. It just is not inexpensive and we expected more hospitality. The room though was nice and clean. I think if it had not started so unpleasant we would be fine.

Property was overall good. Some minor damage to the room and poor drainage in the shower. Unfortunately a fire alarm went off during the middle of the night. This was promptly resolved by Salem fire. Unfortunately that alarm triggered a building security alarm which was constant throughout our stay, not resolved until morning, and impacted the sleep of all travellers. This poor response is the primary reason for 2 stars.

Rooms are very nice and beds comfy...even the sleeper sofa:) Good location. For the price... I paid $1,700 for four nights in May, a little off season and I think that was very high considering reception closes at 8:00 There is a guest closet that is accessible for things you may need however it was not well stocked. Despite having the do not disturb sign on our door staff came into clean and tidy up which is nice however they would throw away coffee cups and things we needed and not restock them. One of our souvenirs was also thrown away in that process. There is a very nice courtyard with plenty of seating and fire pits which was also nice and music playing. Overall not bad but could use a little improvement in some areas. I'm not overly fussy but basic things matter when traveling with a family. A microwave would have been handy! We stayed in a family room so just saying. Overall I don't think you would be disappointed maybe just make sure you have everything you need before 8:00 p.m.

The second night there the smoke alarms went off for 36 minutes before the fire department came. They turned off the large alarm but the other one went off all night an continued into the next day when staff finally came an did something. None of us slept all night, it really pur a damper on our last day of vacation. I dont know why you give an emergency number if you wont come for an emergency.

The Cove has clean, spacious and beautifully updated rooms. All the amenities that you need with luxurious soaps and shampoos (need to find these). The grounds are stunning with several propane fire pits, BBQ’s and chairs. Music playing softly outside. We had drinks around the fire pit and coffee and breakfast the next morning. Staff are wonderful, it’s a little gem. Would recommend and will definitely stay there again, will try a theme room the next time. Thank you for making our stay a remarkable experience

Very disappointed. No service at all. Room wasnt cleaned in 4 days, even after i complained on day 2. The front desk girl, Nova, was the only person that helped. She took our garbage and dirty towels twice. The room was absolutely freezing almost the whole time. Room was pretty, and bed was comfy, but way too bright at night. Coffee machine set up, but no mugs! Coincidentally, there are mugs you can buy. No smoking area. You can smoke on the grass, but no chairs, no ashtrays, no table. And at 8pm all staff is gone. Property was pretty, but half under construction, who worked on the weekend. Boutique hotel my a$$. No personalised service, just terrible. I would never go there again, NEVER recommend it to anyone.

The Cove was a wonderful place for my husband, our 12-year-old son and I to stay. while visiting Salem. The front desk staff was great - so helpful and kind! Our room was super clean and the bath products were lovely. The beds were nice, linens clean and soft, great water pressure in the shower too! I highly recommend them and we will also be back!

Was told accommodations would be made day prior for early arrival due to check in being 4PM. We got there at 1 and was rudely met by an unhappy guy who said “guaranteed check in at 4” and dusted me and my wife off. During check out we were just looking around to see if we left anything and under the bed their was a used condom & a cut straw with white particles in it which i am assuming was drugs, the staff were so rude the day before we didnt even bother saying anything due to not feeling comfortable with them. Overall the room is cool, but with what comes with it its definitely not worth $300. Terrible experience

The Cove, first of all wow! It was such a lovely place. Joe really cared about our trip and turning the first trip to Salem into a truly amazing journey. The rooms are wonderful and spacious. The area is quiet and the outside patio with the fire pits were so comfy on the cold night. I would suggest everyone give this place a try!

The staff was very nice helpful and hospitable. We certainly look forward to using your hotel again. The only comment I would have was that cups were missing in the bathroom and in the kitchen. The refrigerator was kind of small so there was no space to refrigerate wine.

This was such an enjoyable experience! The rooms were some of the cleanest I’ve stayed in, and I travel often. Themed rooms may sound cheesy, but they are so fun. Adults rarely get to disconnect from adulthood, and I was able to do that. We will definitely be back with our kids! We plan to do the pirate room next!

They did a great job renovating this property, it’s clean modern and hip. We didn’t stay in one of the themed rooms but they look like a lot of fun. Woukd definitely stay here again!

This hotel is awesome! We stayed for two nights in two different rooms to get the full experience of the themed rooms. The staff was very helpful. The property is clean and quiet. It's a quick drive to the downtown area. I'd stay here again!

What a surprise for our family!!! We stayed in the under the sea room, which was just exceptionally well done. We took advantage of the super modern common area lounge to play games and hide from the rain. The bakery down the road is phenomenal for breakfast.
