"The Argyle was a lovely guest house. A good walk to the front, but enjoyable. I couldn't comment on the staff, because there weren't any! All booked online, keys and car parking disc, left in an envelope at the door. Very difficult to get in touch with the owners if you needed anything. Too impersonal for me, I like a meet and greet."

There was a reasonable choice of items for breakfast including cereal, yoghourt, juice and some hot options. There was ample parking at the back of the hotel in the Cleveland Centre car park at a very impressive charge of £6.00 per day."

"An amazing property, home from home everything you need. A welcome pack was left for us on arrival which was a really nice touch. The property was spotless the rooms were spacious and decorated to a very high standard. The property is in a great location with an amazing garden. The station is about a 10 mins walk from the property in the village where you can get a train to Whitby. We went for a meal in the Bridge Inn which was good. I would highly recommend this property the hosts were easy to contact."
