"The pictures do not show how amazing the property is and the hosts were very gracious. The house is perfectly situated to watch the (24 foot!!) tide changes and well appointed with modern appliances. To see that amount of water come and go in regular intervals was unique. The sunrises and sunsets were also incredible. This property is a modern artist's retreat and it was cool to see Linda's artwork throughout the house. Make sure to go into town to visit nearby Lubec for lobsters!"

"Marvelous home on Maine's coast with spectacular views. Fascinated by the tides, grandkids loved searching the beach as the ocean receded each day. As beautiful and intriguing as the photos are the property still exceeded our expectations. The grandeur of the location and the home itself show the love and care that went into building and maintaining this very special home."

"Best host I ever had and i have been renting VRBO's for over 20 years.Stacey provided great recommendations for places to eat and sites as well. Her place was very, very nice, secluded and we loved the water view.Stacey also got back to me, always in a timely matter and made sure we had whatever we needed.Beds where very comfortable and the house had all the supplies you would need for a great vacation and we could get fresh Maine lobster close by either from a lobster coop type place or in a local restaurant.."

"The view was amazing! The rooms were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with coffee, spices, dishes, pots, etc. We were very comfortable staying there as the area is very quite and serene. We were visiting from Texas so this may have been just something specific to the area or Maine, but the tap water had a metallic taste to it. Certainly not a issue/reason to not stay, we simply purchased bottled water for making coffee, drinking and cooking. If this is common for the area, it might be good to notify guests so that they are prepared. The information provided by Julie regarding things to do in the area were much appreciated and did not disappoint. We have recommended the property to friends who will be visiting Maine later this year! We loved reading the journal entries as well!"

"So very Private! A whole beach to ourselves and so quiet. We had a group ages 11 months to 92 years (4 generations) and had a wonderful time. The sunsets were epic!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this cottage and would happily return. The property was spotless when we arrived and was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. It was exactly the kind of getaway we were looking for. As birders and nature lovers, we especially appreciated that the backyard connected directly to a birding spot. Being able to step outside and immediately enjoy the sights and sounds of nature was a real treat. We spent many enjoyable hours watching birds and wildlife right from the property, making the experience even more memorable.Catherine, the host, was excellent and very communicative throughout the entire process. She responded quickly to questions, provided clear instructions, and made sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and ensured everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out.Overall, this cottage exceeded our expectations. Between the cleanliness, the fully equipped kitchen, the breathtaking views, the direct access to excellent birding opportunities, and the attentive host, it provided the perfect retreat.
