"I’ve been saying here for nearly ten years. Aside from the stunning location, I appreciate that I can make my trip as busy or as quiet as I want, and there is something for every interest: hiking on one of the Cobscook Trails, grabbing a beer and listening to live music at Lubec Brewing Company, meeting artists as the numerous galleries in the area (make sure to visit Crow Town Gallery), chat with the locals, or just have some quiet time sitting on the back deck watching creatures cavort. It is my favorite place. "
"It was just for one night to rest before traveling home the next after visiting family on Saturday. Very comfortable room with a microwave and refrigerator. I have stayed there before and would most definitely stay again."

"Great location situated between Cutler and Machias, with beautiful vista from the porch. Shopping, restaurants and amazing hiking trails within 10-20 minute drives. We had perfect weather for our stay and enjoyed morning coffee on the porch watching the lobster boats. The house is as described and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our 6 night stay, although we found the mattresses to be pretty uncomfortable. We only cooked breakfast, but there was a good array of pots, pans, and dishes, etc. We bought water, as the water from the spigot had a very distinct taste and smell (although potable). Communication was prompt and responsive. "

"Everything about the gardener lake house was wonderful. The drive-in is like going into another world down a long dirt road to privacy and spectacular view of the lake. Yet, you’re only a few miles from the town.The swimming on the other side of the dock is a nice Sandy bottom and easy for people and dogs. The house is well equipped for the kitchen and the living room is big, comfortable, and has great view of the lake. The side deck was the star! We took long drives along the coast and Gardner Lake house was the perfect homebase. We will be back! Thank you so much for sharing your home!"
"If you are not a morning person, a stay at Lubec Cottage will make you one. Waking up to the sunrise outside the french doors of the master bedroom is just stunning! Our stay was exactly what we were looking for — quiet, relaxing, and much needed de-stressing. Hiking trails are 10-20 minutes drive away. Cottage amenities are well thought out and was much appreciated. Take time to read some of the framed items (ie article by front door, letters found when remodeling in master br).Note: If you’re a chocolate lover, stop by Monica’s Chocolates only 1.3 miles away from cottage!"
