Big Basin Redwoods State Park Tours and Activities

To be honest, I was completely underwhelmed with the property. I had high expectations, as the overall score for this place was 8+. When we walked into our room, it smelled a tad musty, but it was manageable. When we plopped down on the bed to lay down. Omg. They were quite hard and lumpy. The beds were TERRIBLY uncomfortable. I can't recall a time I've ever woken up more from an uncomfortable bed than here. So having gone to Disney after a very poor night of sleep was less than ideal. When we returned to our room after having been at the park all day, or room smelled of sewer/sulfur badly. I called the front desk to advise them. They probably could've moved us, but we were exhausted having been at the park all day. And we honestly were dreading our nights sleep with how uncomfortable the beds were. In the morning we got up to shower. The bathtub drain wasn't draining properly. Additionally, we could've even eat at the restaurant there because the first night it was closed for a private event. The second night, it was reservation only because there was a DJ there and it was open to the public for reservations. So it turned more into party atmosphere rather than a restaurant for hotel guests and their families to enjoy. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere given all the issues we encountered. One nice thing we did enjoy was the coffee in the lobby, it was quite delicious. But other than that, stay somewhere else.

Loved the laundry facilities and proximity to the parks.

The staff is always phenomenal and our room was very clean. This hotel is our go to anytime we visit the DLR.
