"We had a lovely time. The whole staff, starting with Sue, who checked us in, were brilliant, the breakfast outstanding, the room clean, the view of the river and opposite shore outstanding. We plan to return."

Interesting history and lovely walks. Quite a few food places closed on Mondays and Tuesdays which made it a little trickier to eat out without looking in advance.

A lack of decent pubs really but we did find a couple of very good options near the hotel. The Curfew and the Barrels were both great. The centre has a few individual shops and of course the mandatory charity shops.

Lots of lovely areas to visit locally. The towns ok but not great 😂.
"Great central location to visit local sights. Friendly staff, nice breakfast. Rooms were basic but clean & very comfy bed. Beautiful view of fields out of bedroom windows. I’d definitely stay again"
"Lovely room
Very tasteful decor
Although floor was sloped...
Had fabulous time at Karaoke finished off this morning with lovely continental breakfast lots of choice food very good quality. Staff lovely"
"A highlight of our recent trip to the UK. Seaside room in a heritage building. Beautiful rooms, but the best part were the gracious hosts. Would definitely stay there again. "
"Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Comfy bed, spacious room, great shower.
Food choice was good. Downside the amount of curry my wife had could of been more plentiful. My teriyaki fish needed more seasoning, I don't usually add salt or pepper to meals but in this case had to.
Saying that my 2 friends steak and linguine was apparently lovely. The full English was exceptionally good and plentiful
