"We had a lovely short stay at the Gables.
It was a brilliant base from which to explore Northumberland and the borders.
We were looked after very well by our host."

"Comfortable beds, great linens, all the extras you would expect in a better quality hotel. They even left eggs and bread for breakfast so we wouldn't need to run out on the first evening. "Staff very friendly, room 4 was perfect, spotless and recently refurbished bathroom.
24 hr parking at railway station for £3.70 so car was securely parked yet heard no noise from station in our room.
Pool table and darts in separate bar area meant quieter lounge with various games available. Would definitely stay again.

"Nice, clean, well appointed room with kingsize bed. All staff were brilliant, happy, very helpful and responsive and their good teamwork was evident.
The Wi-Fi worked well and the bar was well-stocked.
Lovely surroundings and the field of Clydesdale horses in the neighbouring farm was delightful."
