Room nice, massive bathroom - smallest shower. We had dinner in the bar, food nice service at the bar slow. I thought I paid for all the drinks and dinner and even closed the tab at the end of the night with my card and my friend got charged so had to follow up with the hotel to try and sort it out . One of our friends got a room without a window so sadly this overshadowed our stay.

The location of the hotel was perfect for seahouses as really close to the shops. We stayed in a pet friendly room with a garden which was perfect for our dog. The staff were really friendly and the bed was comfortable. Great shower and the breakfast was lovely with a good selection of food.

Room was as expected, good size, bunk for teenager and enough room for the dog bed and dog to wonder round in. Room was reasonably clean, linen fresh and clean. Wifi struggled a little for 24hrs. Breakfast was plentiful, staff were lovely, nice touch in the room for the dog (treats). Would stay again.

The Good, the location is excellent within 50 metres of the harbour and central to the village. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with everything you would expect. The bad, we only had breakfast which was a hot buffet. The eggs looked like they had been cooked the night before and the bacon was just one cooked mass that appeared to be only cooked on one side, the sausages and hash browns were overcooked. There was unlimited tea and fresh coffee. We didn’t have any other meals there. Don’t have a cask beer if you visit, I tried both and they weren’t the best. The keg beer however was acceptable. The soundproofing for the room was poor, one could hear the conversation going on in the room next door. The ugly, there was black mould was around the bottom of the shower. There was so much dust above the bathroom door that it looked like it was growing fur!

Nice clean room even though you could hear people above snoring and conversation.We mentioned on three separate occasions we would like twin bed but got double.Having said this it is always a pleasure staying here and everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Overall a good stay, great location and sea views from the beer garden. Free parking onsite if you manage to secure a space (more luck than anything). A bit quirky inside at the bar which was cute. We didn’t eat there so unable to comment on food. Room was clean with good amenities for tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits. I’d stay here again tbf. Only thing that stopped me giving a 5* was the attitude of one of the staff members. Middle aged female at the bar who sadly needs some training in customer service/communicating with other humans, was clearly having a bad day but didn’t we all know about it. Also another unusual thing is the reception not opening until 3pm so had to hunt for a cleaner to give our key to when we wanted to check out.

The Bamburgh Castle Inn was a very nice place to stay. It is conveniently located right at the boat docks should you be taking a tour. Clean, comfortable and convenient!
