"Hands down the most amazing host I’ve ever had. I don’t usually write reviews, but this one is well deserved. Her level of hospitality was truly unmatched she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. From the breakfast every morning, to the views, to the beautiful design of the space everything felt thoughtful, intentional, and high quality. I also felt extremely safe the entire time, which meant a lot. While it’s about 40 minutes from the main towns, the experience and comfort made the commute completely worth it. To the host, thank you again. You made our stay unforgettable."

"The property was lovely. Staff was great. The resort wasn’t staffed very well. They were short and it made the restaurant in the bar, not be open for a lot of the time and things close down. It could be due to later in the season and it was a lot farther than we anticipated from the main area other than that, it was wonderful perhaps earlier in the season it would be a little bit better. We would go back if that were the case. "

The setting is gorgeous, and waking up to that view every morning made for a memorable trip. He is a genuine asset to this property and made a real difference in our experience.A few things worth knowing for anyone considering this rental:Sargassum. This is a natural and regional phenomenon, but it is worth understanding before you arrive. When present, the seaweed accumulates on the beach and can produce a strong odor that is difficult to tolerate when there is no breeze. It also creates a barrier that limits direct beach access to the water. This is not unique to Casa Layla, but it is a factor that can meaningfully impact your experience depending on timing and conditions.Water access. Swimming directly off the beach or dock is not viable — the dock area sees consistent boat traffic that makes it unsafe. Snorkeling and fishing. Both are absolutely worth doing—just not an option from the property itself. We booked private trips independently. If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat centered around a beautiful home and pool, Casa Layla delivers. Just go in with accurate expectations around water access and you’ll have a great stay."

"My stay at La Beliza Resort was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The pool area was quiet and relaxing, making it easy to enjoy the sun without feeling crowded like we did at other places on the island. There was some sargassum along the beach, but it was everywhere across Ambergris Caye and thanks to the staff working to clean it up every day, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Our trip highlights were visiting Secret Beach and snorkeling at Hol Chan Marine Reserve and both are worth doing. The staff at the resort did a great job coordinating and organizing tours. Overall, a comfortable and relaxing place to stay."
