"The property itself is beautiful, but the experience was overshadowed by extremely poor communication from the staff. I paid them to arrange local flights, yet they failed to provide any information afterward. After I arrived in Belize, I tried calling again with no response. I ended up messaging them on WhatsApp from the airport, unsure whether I needed to purchase a new plane ticket or not. Despite multiple attempts to reach out through calls, emails, and texts, I received no response for a long time. Eventually, my calls were ignored or possibly blocked. Fortunately, someone finally responded on WhatsApp and provided the information I needed, but by that point, the uncertainty had already caused significant stress. What should have been an enjoyable trip turned into one of the most stressful travel experiences I’ve had."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villas Secreta! The sea views on the west side with the lagoon view on the east side were perfect for us as we loved both watching the sea and also seeing all the bird species visiting the lagoon. We were two couples in our sixties and the boat ride to/from the resort was easy. Lee was available to take us and retrieve us as we needed and was very attentive to any to requests or needs. We actually appreciated the fact that the resort is private. The only thing south of us was ocean and mangroves! The bars about 1/4 mile north, at Secret Beach, had music and guests during the day but they closed at 6pm so the evenings were very quiet and relaxing. The bars were also walkable via an easy path.The unit was clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing! Celeste helped us with information, booking any excursions, taxi rides, etc. Vanessa made us amazing breakfasts every day and Lee provided boat transport, luggage, supplies, and villa maintenance. On one windy rainy morning Lee even brought our breakfast up to our unit. There is no sargassum seaweed on this side of Ambergris Caye and the beach is sandy. It would be great for families as you can walk out several hundred yards and not even be waist deep. You can snorkel but there isn’t a lot to see. One note is you only have access to the pool (a VERY small one 6 x 10?) if you rent the whole house or the one bedroom unit on the lower level. We do hope to return!"

"We stayed 5 nights at Casa Nova Cabanas and had a fantastic experience! The property hosts, Keila and Jaime are incredible- they absolutely made our stay very enjoyable. The property is clean, quiet and very comfortable- offering 4 units on the main level (2 facing the water and 2 inward facing) plus a larger suite with kitchen on the 2nd floor of the main building. As well there is a pristine private beach with shade and lounge chairs- perfect to enjoy a relaxing day of sun and water (the water is crystal clear and shallow) with kayaks and SUPs provided. The rooms are simple, modern, and very clean- providing you A/C and a comfortable bed and peaceful sleep. Jaime made incredible meals (Breakfast and Supper) for us- something different each day- healthy and nutritious, and full of flavor. Although its a 45min golf cart drive from San Pedro- Casa Nova Cabanas offers everything you want if you are looking for a relaxing, quiet vacation with delicious meals, excellent accommodations (and incredible hosts!) and a beautiful beach."
