"Amazing service throughout our stay."

"The hotel staff were fantastic and the view was beautiful. It was quite a ways from San Pedro town which limited dining options for us. The staff booked us a reservation at Mambo with a driver or boat pickup depending on the weather. The breakfast was good but very few options for dinner at the onsite restaurant. If I could do it again, I would rent a golf cart in town for the duration of our stay and book tours that picked us up at the resort dock."

The layout is both spacious and comfortable, beautifully designed without sacrificing functionality. Every bedroom having its own bathroom made a big difference for our family, and the beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced. "LaPerla is a great setting with great ocean views.This particular rental was a generous size for 8 people.Our biggest issue is that through the VRBO listing it stated that it has 3 king beds and it only had 3, the 3rd bedroom had a queen. We had 3 couples and 2 children.Not having a 3rd king bed was a huge issue for us.Hopefully that is corrected.The “4th bedroom” is the lower level with a couch, 2 singles and a double.Not exactly a bedroom in my opinion. It is open to the stairway to the kitchen.Overall the place was noisy because it backs up to the street and the most windows were just screens with wooden louvers.Road noise was bothersome for some of us and not others.The unit was pretty well equipped with limited cooking pans and storage.The raised deck made for a nice place to sit and enjoy the view, which was beautiful.We all enjoyed the pool. Amethyst was a little more worn than the pictures show.But still comfortable enough for a rental. The decor was quirky and interesting.The staff at LaPerla were a highlight to our stay.Roberto and his crew took us snorkeling, fishing and cooked a meal for us from our catch. Pretty amazing! They even acted as our taxi back to the airport for departure.You really need a golf cart in Ambergris Caye, it is about 40 minutes give or take to LaPerla from the airport.Your golf cart company will pick you up at airport.Road signs are really not a thing most places.GPS was a must for us. Overall a good stay."

"We had such a good time here! Very spacious, clean and great for large groups. Star was so attentive and the pool was nice. It is a bit of a drive to downtown San Pedro but 15 mins to secret beach. Would definitely recommend this space "

"Although the ride to the resort was a little rough in golf carts, the location is perfection. All of the staff was exceptional and the house was perfect for our family getaway. "

"Perfectly located for us, further away from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro, and yet close enough to any convenience we might have needed (provided you do have a golf cart to go around). The grounds were really nice, with luscious vegetation, and did well to create a sense of isolation from other houses/resorts nearby. One must know that San Pedro is stuck with an algae problem (sargassum) that did affect us during our stay. They come in huge patches and litter the beach, and they start to smell as they decompose. This is a larger environmental problem though, not associated with the property. The pool was a great bonus that we enjoyed multiple times (especially since bathing in the ocean was made harder due to the sargassum). The unit itself was nice, but could have used a little more TLC (mostly regarding cleanliness). Some of the property's equipment is getting old (broken beach chairs for example) and would require attention. I know the salty environment is tough on furniture. Overall, a great experience. We would always enjoy coming back "home" to sit in our chairs on the porch and watch the wind in the palm trees and the movement of the ocean."
