Sonesta Redondo Beach & Marina

10/10 Excellent

"Hotel is lovely. Smells great as soon as you walk into the foyer and check-in was easy and the staff were friendly. Our room had a balcony and partial sea view which was nice. Swimming pool is lovely and they do have a hot tub too but for such a large area on the lower roof they definitely need to add more loungers (which we asked for on the only day it was busy - but none were added). There is a small laundry room on site - just before the pool entrance so we did our washing after the first week whilst relaxing by the pool (need plenty of quarters!). We had a couple of drinks in the bar but mainly walked a short distance for food and drink options around Redondo Beach (15mins) and Hermosa Beach (25mins) plus there are a few restaurants opposite which are also good. Cheesecake Factory and the Surf Club. Parking is expensive but we found a street around the corner for free - just need to ensure you park facing the same way as the traffic and adhere to the signs for when there is street cleaning which meant switching sides on Thu and Friday. When we come back to Redondo Beach we will definitely be staying here. Can't wait."

"The location is right on a busy street Sepulveda. It is about 5-7 mins from the Pier. Exterior walls could use some high-powered washing. The room was good, comfortable, felt safe. Water pressure was low for flushing. Parking is underground. It is about 20 min drive to LAX. Staff could use a smile more and welcoming guests."

"Better sheet/bed covers and more available channels to watch on TV,is what could us some upgrades and more available parking,but other then that it was Good stay"

"Elevator was broken, room smelled like cigarettes and didn’t appear to be cleaned well."

"The hotel in general was very clean and organized. Our room was clean and all of the towels and wash cloths were great. The front desk, housekeeping and kitchen staff were all hwlpful and friendly."
