Very helpful staff and nice place to stay that is handy to central Rotorua. I expected to be able to use the pool but it was out of order.

Truly one of my most magical hotel stays ever. My private cottage was beautiful and perfect, the grounds with roaming sheep and donkeys were so lovely and peaceful, the lodge was beautiful and the staff was incredible. The lake view is stunning. Very nice made to order breakfast every morning and great location that was just a few minutes away from most of the attractions I visited. Thank you so much for a perfect visit--I'd love to come back!

The location is excellent but that is where it ends. I have no idea why everyone is giving it the 4 or 5 stars. Please people tell the truth. The rooms are mediocre at best and very dated. The shower robes basically told the full story. They were fraying to bits. The bed was uncomfortable to sleep in as the mattress seemed very tired as you sunk right into it and the electric heaters gave such a dry heat we had to turn them all off. Freezing was a more comfortable option. The breakfast, was totally unacceptable. A few items thrown together. Full cream (full fat) milk the only choice of milk. Requested semi or skimmed only to be told the full cream is the best, the others are watered down versions!!some bread, bacon, scrambled eggs, yoghurt that was poured onto a plate already - that was breakfast! Couldn't have any eggs made to order at all. They offer a sauna & hottub at the bottom end of the garden. To access both you need to walk across a mud trodden path, through a dark garage. The sauna had to be turned on 30 minutes before you could utilise it. But no instructions given on how to utilise either! Finally, we were given a room at the top. But there were stairs going to another room further up. Considering you have to carry your own luggage, wedding feel sorry for the poor sod who got allocated the upstairs. He said he nearly broke his back taking his suitcases upstairs!

The host is flexible and really lovely to communicate with. We loved our stay, the apartment was beautiful, clean and modern. Easy to find and convenient with parking right outside our unit. The only improvement to note would be the pillows. Very satisfied, would return :)
