"Absolutely wonderful week spent and Mangoes. The resort itself is peaceful and quiet (being adults only), the restaurant meals were consistently amazing and fresh and the staff were a stand out. By the end of our stay all the staff knew us by name and our favourite seats. Highly recommend splashing out for one of the private pool bungalows, being about to have a private float after being out in the heat, or first thing in the morning as the sun rises was really special. Though there are 3 other communal pools that were more often than not empty. The resort is located about a 15 minute walk from the main strip, which was fine for us but may be a bit hilly for those with mobility issues. In that case there are taxis and buses available. The local neighbourhood was incredibly safe, friendly and welcoming. People were genuinely friendly with no ulterior motives like some other touristy areas. Reception staff were helpful if we ever needed directions, AC was great for us Tasmanians and will definitely be back. "

"I liked how peaceful and quiet it was. I could hear the ocean and the breeze was lovely. It was a little older but seemed updated and so was more roomie than the cookie cutter hotel rooms. There was a kitchen and couch and table and it was well furnished. Nice people too. You could walk to a few different restaurants. Including a wood fired pizza place on the oceans edge. Wonderful vibe"

"Everything worked like clockwork. We left some of our luggage 1 week ahead of our stay as we were flying to other islands and there were restrictions on the amount of luggage. The Melanesian hotel allowed us to store our luggage until our arrival! That’s great customer service. The room was clean, large, and comfortable!"
