"The A/C was not working, so the only fresh air was coming from the open windows. Windows have no mosquito nets and each morning my family was covered in mosquito bytes. In addition, the noise from outside made it impossible to have good night sleep: working pump and construction at 4 am near the hotel, among other loud noises. If the air was flowing in the room, even without A/C, it would still help because the air outside was around 65-70 degrees but there was no flow of air at all. I told about the problem at the front desk but the answer was: there is no A/C until summer. "

" Hotel Montecarlo is in an excellent location, just off St. Mark’s Piazza in a quiet area. It was easy to walk to nearby sites and restaurants from the hotel. Check-in was smooth, and the staff was very welcoming. While the room was small, it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast offered a great variety of options. I would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Montecarlo again in the future. "

"We had a suite. It was room 403. While it was spacious, it could have been better lit. I found it difficult to see clearly in some areas of the suite. There were portions of hard wood along with carpeted areas, however the carpeted areas could have been cleaner. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and kind. Overall a very good experience."

"Hotel was in a great location, central but tucked away on a quiet lane. Easy to walk in every direction. Room was on the 4th floor, so lots of steps, but we got lucky that our room had a good view. The only negative for us was the beds and pillows not being the most comfortable, but not a deal breaker. Breakfast was a nice bonus. Staff are friendly. I would stay here again."

"Description states elevator, however if you’re staying on the 2nd floor & have a room 253 or above, you’re climbing another 1-1/2 flights of narrow winding stairs. And going to the 3rd floor and coming down does not work! The carpet is threadbare on the stairs. If you go to the breakfast after 9:15 the room is overly overly warm. This hotel should not be rated at 7. This is the smallest room I have ever seen and it slanted. "

"My partner and I travelled for three nights and stayed at the Amadeus hotel. We were afraid as it is pretty close to the train terminal and I had heard it was not a great location. but what a plus. Location was great. Wrong it was perfect! The staff was friendly and informative. The breakfast was exactly what we needed for a whole day out of touring. Many choices. Room was not too small for the standard room we chose and decor was as expected. Rooms looked better in person than in pictures. Bathroom was ok with plenty of hot water. They even provided a breakfast to the go because we checked out at 6:30 am. Wil recommend roe a short stay."
