Cute Bach with Seaviews
We really enjoyed our stay at this cute bach near Matheson Bay. It was comfortable and well-equipped and had a very homey feel. Loved the sea views from the deck and the birdsong in the bush.

Misleading and Unfair
We have been charged for 3 people staying at this property when we booked for and only had 2 staying. Despite sending an email we have no response and feel as though thereis dishonesty going on.

Great Family Bach Feel
We loved the location of this wee bach. Nestled into a small forest and very private, yet so close to the beach and walk way. Had a great family bach type feel with great views.

So cute we loved it! Games, books, bush and birds were amazing. Lovely area with gorgeous waterfalls and beaches to explore. We had good swim in our wetsuits. Great fired kept us warm and dry. Had everything we needed wish we could live there.

The house needed a good air out as it was dusty, other than that the house and location is lovely.
We spent the weekend in Leigh for a wedding. Waking up to mother nature with a view of the ocean was a perfect way to start off our day. The house was easy to find. A good distant between Leigh and Matakana. Having board games and books to read was a bonus.

We had a lovely stay here! The surrounding nature is beautiful and you can see the ocean through the trees from the balcony. One of the bedrooms is really for kids but we spent most of the time outside anyway.

The house is a lovely, well equipped traditional bach set in an amazing native wood which includes kauri trees and a view of the sea. Unfortunately we were staying when Cyclone Gabrielle struck and experienced long periods of power outage. We survived using the excellent woodburner to boil water and cook, and could access water from the garden tanks. Not the holiday we anticipated, but the house kept us safe.

Another wonderful stay
One of us stayed here in December 2019 with family visiting from England and we all totally adored the bach and gorgeous surrounds This time some of same family returned and this time was just as,if not even more, wonderful. Absolutely wonderful accommodation, cosy, clean and comfortable - exactly what we needed for a short break. Great location, beach a short walk away and a lovely waterfall / bush walk even closer. Nice decking area with easy access, surrounded by bush and with a great view of the sea.

Fantastic Location
Lovely, peaceful location. Great base to explore the region (if you have a car). It is a classic kiwiana bach circa 60’s but never the less really needs a good spring clean, declutter and refresh.

Hidden gem
What a wonderful place. Tucked into the hills just outside Leigh is this superb, traditional Bach. Full of lovely touches, the pictures definitely do not do it justice. The owner Bryce was very easy to deal with and we felt like we were staying in someone's house, not just a holiday rental. The log burner was the icing on the cake on a cold and stormy winter weekend.

Went to leigh to catch Gin Wigmore. she postponed, but we went up anyway. This bach was perfectly located for a mini-getaway. Quiet, secluded, cute and simple, basic amenities. good place to recharge. Would stay again.

Great place to stay.
Loved staying here, while the hubby & son worked in Warkworth for a week. Lovely spot. Lots to see, at nearby locations. Awesome bay, a short walk away. Weather was wet most days :( But having the fire made up for that :) Great games, lots DVDs, many books to read. Perfect NZ family bach.

I’m in love with this Bach
Sweetest wee Bach - everything you need for rest and relaxation. Very Clean and well cared for. rainy windy days were a bonus allowing us time to stay inside and read books off the shelves, bask by fireplace and enjoy the view. Will be back with my kids as the house is set for all ages - thank you guys for opening your home for us.

Perfect for my birthday getaway. Well appointed kiwi batch, clean and tidy. Great location! Loved the local walks, and beach. We visited, the Matakana Farmers Market, Tawharanui regional park, Omaha, Parkiri and Kyaked at Goat Island. We enjoyed playing cards by the fire at night and breakfast on the deck in the mornings. The only thing I didn't like is not having enough time to enjoy reading any of the books on the shelves and having to come home! Best birthday ever, thanks for some great memories, loved it ❤

Just Right
Lovely relaxing place to stay, just an hour out of Auckland. The We took advantage of the fireplace on a wet and wild Saturday night and a walk down to the beach for an early morning swim on a beautiful Sunday morning. Had everything we needed.
