A Great Place to Stay

Idyllic Setting
Tranquil view of the water with everything we needed. Robyn provided nice starter items for breakfast-coffee, cereal, milk, sugar-which was so nice coming in after a long travel day. Very comfortable bed and nice to have laundry facilities. Highly recommend.

Stunning location. 6 steps from the water. . Robyn was so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The accommodation was the best and most stylishly kitted out we have ever been in.

Wished I could have stayed longer!
I chose this property for my final days' stay after a month long first road trip through New Zealand. After having stayed I cannot imagine a better place for the trip's ending. The host Robyn lives on site but your space feels very private. Her hospitality and thoughtfulness were exceptional. I tend to prefer to mix in a fair amount of cooking and dining in when traveling. While there is not a full kitchen, it's set up well so that I had everything I required. Robyn provides a nice selection of cereal, bread, jam, teas, etc. The feel of staying here is as though you're almost at the end of the world, no cares, no worries! Direct views from the living area and bedroom are peaceful, spectacular and ever changing. Tide comes in and then recedes daily, revealing the intertidal flats where local birds like the oyster catchers forage. Amazing Sunsets. There are great places to explore by car from here and the Auckland International airport is an easy drive, perhaps 35 minutes. Next time I return to New Zealand I'll plan to stay a bit longer. Thank you Robyn!

Incredible location & hospitality
We loved our stay...from the beautiful peaceful location to the immaculately presented unit, everything was perfect. Robyn was an amazing hostess who gave us our privacy but was also available to share her knowledge of the local area and supplied a great range of books to read. Whether in our bedroom or sitting outside on the patio, we could watch the tides come and go, along with stunning sunsets. We highly recommend this as a place to stay and will definitely be back again. Thanks Robyn.

Totally awesome!
What a beautiful setting, and a warm, gracious and relaxing home. Loved the little extra features to be found when it's someone's home - books, music, art. Sitting on the deck and enjoying the sunset is the icing on the cake, and even wild windy wet days are enjoyable, with the tide hitting the seawall.
