Amazing Italian Villa in the Mountain
This hotel was above and beyond amazing. I love peace and quiet!!! The fact that this was located up in the mountains and away from everything is what inspired me to book it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t want to be directly on the water. Thank you again for everything :)

Amazing, affordable stay in argegno. Room was clean and cozy, comfy. Surrounded by the beautiful mountains and a small church next by where u can see the lake from. Great location , 30 min drive to menaggio and main attractions.

A hidden jewel!!!
If you want to enjoy the beautiful Lake Como but avoid the noisy hustle and bustle by staying on the lakeside then please consider La Griglia. It is only a few kilometres behind Argegno and away from the crowded lakeside it makes a perfect retreat. Set in a beautiful garden, run by friendly family owners and attended to by friendly helpful staff ..oh and good food as well what more could you ask for. We would thoroughly recommend it and will definitely stay there on our next trip to the lake.

Stayed with teenage daughter for two nights. Drove from Malpensa, directions easy, hotel lovely and clean, food fabulous, very enjoyable stay, great value for money.

OK the hotel was a wee bit out of the way but that is what we wanted. Staff couldnt do enough for us. We were booked for three days but ended up staying six. That should sum it up

Good stay, good value for money. Clean. A bit hard to find, but that comes with the idea of staying on a hill overlooking the Lake.

wonderful hotel in a beautiful area
Absolutely superb. Stayed for two nights in a lovely balcony room with splendid views. Easy to find. The restaurant was excellent with a good menu of local food including fish from the lake beautifully presented. Would love to stay there again. Staff are so helpful. they were happy to freeze our cold blocks and suggest things to do. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Free WiFi Staff were helpful and very very friendly efficient and hard working. Excellent value for money. Lots of locals eating in the restaurant. What a gem of a place. Lots of parking. Challenging walk down to attempt but great fun and very interesting. Catch the boat from. Arregno for a fabulous tour of the lake. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Out of the way--which is good and bad
This hotel looks close to Lake Como, but the road to it is very narrow with numerous switchbacks, so it takes awhile to get to and from it. The restaurant that is part of the hotel looks nice, but there aren't other places to go in the vicinity. Make sure you map the approach in detail. No air conditioning as far as I could tell, and even with two sets of French doors onto a small balcony (we had a corner room) it was still quite hot at the end of July. If you want to get away from the crowd along the lake, this is a good spot, just remember it will be 15 minutes or so to get to anything else. Also, while there may be lake views from some spots in the hotel, at least half the rooms only have a view of (pleasant) hillsides in the opposite direction.

Experience Italy as it should be - When we arrived at La Griglia, I couldn't help but smile! It is set in the most picturesque hill top of Lake Como - away from tourist buses and craziness. This family owned hotel is beautiful, with friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating staff. DO eat at their restaurant. The food is excellent and extremely well priced. If you ask what they recommend - they will tell you instead of repeating the specials. We will definitely return to this hotel at some point - it's literally one of Lake Como's best kept secrets...

Cadre tres agreable et paisible, avec une bonne situation geographique qui permet de visiter les environs ! Nous avons mangé au restaurant de l'hotel, tout etait tres bon ! Un petit dejeuner simple mais suffisant avec un delicieux jambon. Le personnel etait sympathique et disponible. Seul point negatif, les volets et rideaux laissent pas mal de lumiere rentrée dans la chambre et la nuit de forts bruits (camions poubelles?) Nous ont reveillés a plusieurs reprises.. Nous avons tout de meme apprecié notre passage au sein de cet établissement ! Merci a tous.

Fina rum och en mysig trädgård. Restaurangen var bra service och god mat. Hotellet ligger högt upp i bergen och en promenadväg ner till byn. Promenaden ner var ok men upp mycket arbetsam i värmen. Men väl värt det.

Hôtel situé sur les hauteurs du lac de Côme, au calme, très beau jardin, emplacement voiture ombragé. Le personnel est très professionnel et sympathique, service excellent, spécialités italiennes à découvrir ! : pâtes, viandes grillées, desserts glacés de qualité… La décoration, les murs peints et très colorés donnent une ambiance originale atypique. Merci au propriétaire pour ses suggestions de visites et ses conseils. Le dîner dans le jardin est très agréable, le petit déjeuner copieux et varié.

Wir machten eine Motorradtour. Es war Ende September und kalt. Die Zimmer waren nicht beheizt. Sehr gute Küche allerdings auch nicht ganz preiswert.

Hotel i skønne omgivelser.
Hyggeligt hotel med en dejlig have. Værelset var pænt og rent. Stor altan med udsigt til Comosøen. Morgenmaden var god. I restauranten lavede de skøn mad. Personalet var utrolig flinke og hjælpsomme. Mulighed for gåture, der er stier. Et minus var støjen fra vejen, men der var ro det meste af natten.

Die Unterkunft hat ein Manko mit dem WLAN. die einzelnen Räume sind sehr sauber und gemütlich. Der TV sollte größer sein. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Vaste établissement agréablement situé en retrait de l'agitation du bord du lac à l'aspect et au décor absolument adorable, kitsch à souhait, comme on aime s'y imprégner le temps d'un court séjour.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht, Frühstück war gut, Freundlichkeit war wohltuend im Verhältnis zum Rest in Italien. Sehr tolle Ideen in dieser hübschen Pension - sogar mit Lift!!! - verwirklicht. Urig. Zimmer klein, jedoch ausreichend. Uns sauber. Die Preise im Restaurant - für wenig Essen sind es hohe Preise - sind zu hoch.

Best ever!
If you are looking for something cozy with delicious food and gorgeous surroundings this is the place!! I recommend you have a car bc its 10 min drive up the mountain. The little village below have good food, ice cream aso. I would love to come back to this place.

Sehr nettes zuvorkommendes Personal.
Das Hotel war immer kalt ,auch im Frühstücksraum war es einfach zu kalt.Das Zimmer war sauber und frisch und die Bedienung war immer nett,besonders unsere Frühstücksfee Giolina.Das Restaurant hat uns nicht gefallen.Zu teuer, zu kleine Portionen-und auch da war es immer kalt.Keine Gemütlichkeit.
