"This place was busy, loud, and not well maintained. The room was very dark and outdated. There was music blasting late into the evening and trucks going by at all hours. The buffet breakfast was the worst food we had while in Costa Rica. There were lots of pools and some nice gardens on the property but tons of people. They made us put on two bracelets upon arrival, a paper in car window, and gave us plastic cards for towels. This place has too many rules. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights but quickly checked out and made another reservation. The hotel said they would refund me for the two nights we didn’t stay but they only partially refunded me. Stay far from this place. There are so many other very nice hotels in La Fortuna."
