"This hotel was perfectly situated for all that we needed in Reykjavík. The fact that there is a bakery, a bar and restaurant connected to the hotel made for an exceptional experience. We also lucked into a night of jazz for free during our stay. Small things like the free chocolates and excellent coffee machines throughout the hotel as well as the beautifully appointed conference rooms and lounge areas just added to the experience. We highly recommend to any and all. The Executor is Excelsior."

We were incredibly grateful to receive an early check-in since our room was already ready when we arrived after traveling. The breakfast offered a wonderful variety of options each morning, and everything was fresh and delicious. Every single member of the staff was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The location was also fantastic — perfectly situated for exploring Reykjavík while still feeling comfortable and relaxing. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Alda Hotel to anyone visiting Iceland!"

"Overall lovely stay. Only complaint is that the heating in the room was set to max before we arrived and it was impossible to then cool it down to a comfortable temperature in order to sleep!!"

"Our room was clean and airy. For an older building it is well maintained. One drawback is the strong odour of sulphate from the water. I would ask that a small fridge be added to the rooms. The breakfast was always the same thing and always cold; scrambled eggs cold, overcooked bacon cold, sausages cold, soggy potatoes cold. The fresh berries were bitter. The yogurt was very tasty as was the assortment of freshly baked bread. Lexi who was the receptionist almost the entire time we stayed here was absolutely amazing; very helpful with information about the surrounding area and features; as well as a wealth of information regarding tours and activities. Whenever we had a question or needed help booking tours or a transfer to the airport Lexi was always very friendly and helpful."

"The rooms were clean but the bathroom was small. We didn't add breakfast as the price was too high. Small bar, but no one usually there. They don't clean the room unless you ask. Rooms were sometimes warm so we opened the window. Good location... easy to get everywhere in the center."

"The room is very clean! Hotel location is also very goooood, which the bus stop #9 is just on the side of hotel! Staff is very nice and helpful that help us check weather change and clean room! Breakfast have a lot of choices you will enjoy!"
