"Such a nice hotel! Very convenient location, with free shuttle to the train station (only about 10 minutes away). Staff was very helpful, answering a couple of emails before our trip in a very prompt manner, as well as being helpful while we were staying there. They were able to hold our bags for us when we arrived several hours prior to check in so we could go sightseeing, and they held them again for us for a couple of hours after checkout so we could see a few more things before leaving town....

Reception desk and catering services are also kind and helpful. Breakfast is superb. The facilities of gust rooms which I experienced are old, but the bed is comfortable. "My boyfriend and I stayed at Pocket for several days while visiting Kyoto. It is located in such a convenient area (walkable distance to Nishiki and transit). The property itself is clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful! It is definitely worth staying here for the price! The only complaint I have come from the other foreigners/tourists. Please be respectful of the space especially when maintaining cleanliness as this is a shared space. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend Pocket hotel! "

"We LOVED this place! We got the room with a private bathroom and garden. The garden was beautiful and our room was very large and spacious. The food they served in the restaurant was delicious and very well priced. Very nice staff. The place is located a bit away from the city, which is just what we wanted. It is located a very short 3 min walk from the bus stop. Very easily accessible. They will ship your luggage for you through a company if you ask (I recommend cuz it’s not fun taking luggage in a bus). Overall loved this place and would come back again. "
