"i stayed at Woodlands Inn for 6 days on a 11 day trip to India, primarily to watch some IPL cricket and do a bit of sightseeing. The Woodlands Inn was the best place for me to stay with wanting to do these things. The staff are pleasant and my room was small but clean and the water was hot. A nice tea/samosa/cookie, Sri Sabari Tea Stall, and snack store across the road and a good restaurant around the corner called Anjappar. The beach was also not too far away as well as public transport. I would definitely stay at Woodlands Inn again."

"Regarding the cost and overall quality of our stay, we found that the accommodations did not fully meet our expectations. The rooms appeared to be somewhat outdated, with older furniture. The restroom design was a bit unusual, with a single door serving both the toilet and the main entrance, which was unusual to us. The shower area was somewhat cramped and only separated by a curtain, and there was no hot water available at the wash basin. Additionally, the minibar offered only a limited selection of items at quite high prices. Besides the convenience of being within walking distance of the US consulate, most other aspects of the stay were average. "
