We had booked a basic double, just wanting a base really, but when we got to the room it was more of an apartment - double room
With lots of wardrobes, large bathroom with shower, a full kitchen and fridge, living area and views over the canal - couldn’t believe it! Stocked up the fridge to save finding breakfast every morning and some snacks. Very steep stairs but that’s to be expected in these buildings. Friendly staff, we left our luggage at reception before check in and on the day we flew home at no extra cost. Overall the room was tidy (we checked under the bed to see if we’d dropped anything before we left and found dust but no dust on any other surfaces). The pillows were different sizes, one very hard the other one very flat but we made do. No curtain on the bedroom window, just a thin blind which let the light opposite shine in throughout the night (the light was never turned off). Plenty of cleaning supplies and coffee, tea, all crockery and cutlery provided. Easy to get in and out of the building, just needed another key. Very easy access to station, Dam square, walked to Rijksmuseum. Shame the TV didn’t work, no signal, but we would have only watched for a short while in the morning over breakfast so not the end of the world. Overall an enjoyable stay.
