"The property is pretty and the staff members were polite. I didn't like the extra $200 charge that we had to pay, because we were within 50 miles of the hotel. (?). Hopefully, in a few days we will receive that money back. The pool is nice and good for kiddos. It's not very deep, and nice and warm. Altogether, it was a great stay at the hotel. Thank you!"

"The motel is definitely dated. Check in was fine. Upon arriving in room, the room appeared clean (but wasn't), beds looked very used and the pillows had seen much better days. I had a difficult time getting comfortable and sleeping because of the bed and pillows. The shower was awesome! The tub could use some non-skid adhesive. One ice machine in the building just off the lobby area. Went to use and had a 36 minute wait time (what?). The vending machine in the lobby was completely empty! On night two, at 12:45 a.m. we were awaken by knocking on the door, then the door opening! Thankfully, the "door block" was engaged and kept the intruder from opening the door more than a couple inches when I hollared. At check out, the day desk clerk determined it was the new night desk clerk and stated she would have a conversation with him. What reason did he have to come to my room and open the door!?! Our name was next to the room number with our departure date on the guest list. Needless to say, I didn't sleep at all well for the remainder of the night. I hope to make better hotel accommodation decisions in the future..."

"This motel was great! The car is well maintained. It is not huge, but that was expected seeing as it is a train car. The property is beautiful. The motel is between two fields with incredible sunrises and sunsets. The old-fashioned locomotive runs during the day, which is amazing to see for the kids. It does not run at night so it is not waking you up. The property offers buggy rides to purchase. They have little goats, alpacas and a miniature horse that you can feed and are incredibly friendly. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They called to make sure I didn’t need anything when I first checked in before the office closed. They are the same staff that run the restaurant. The restaurant is great and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely be staying here again. The next time I am in the area."

"Polite and courteous staff, nice selection of amenities including recreation, petting zoo, mini golf options, etc. The room was a bit outdated but comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the prime location close to everything and the relaxed family atmosphere of the property. A great place to call home away from home while in the area 😊."

"I felt catfished. The pillowcases in the room were visibly dirty, the bed frame squeaked every time you moved. The lock on the door was loose. The room itself was poorly maintained. It looked like a sloppy paint job, there was painters tape still on the door hinges and latch for the bathroom door. The bathroom cabinet and dressers in the room were badly scratched as was the frame around the full length mirror. Some furniture had pieces missing out of them. The shower contraption looked high end at first glance but when you got in the shower you could see the black paint had been chipped away on the handles and there were hard water stains on the shower head and attachments. The bathroom sink had no counter top space at all making it difficult to place a toothbrush or toiletry bag in the bathroom. On the positive: the parking was free, the air conditioning in the room worked, and there appeared to be cereal and coffee in the breakfast area. The person behind the counter always greeted us when we walked in. I would not stay here again especially given the nightly cost. Given the condition, this room should have been less than I$100/night, not closer to $200."

"I wasn’t anticipating much but a clean room based on reviews when I booked the hotel. But I was pleased and so were the other 3 people. Breakfast was good. The rooms were very spacious. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The hotel and rooms were clean. The elevator was working and fast. I understand Marriot bought them hopefully they keep most everything the same."

10/10 Excellent

"Hotel was clean , staff was friendly and helpful. We especially loved the pool. The one complaint I do have is that by the pool the towels that are given are very small and cannot cover your entire body. We had to grab multiple just for one person. Other than that the hotel was gorgeous, room was clean and spacious. Definitely would stay here again, not sure why there is so many negative reviews."
