"Pre charging people cards is 100% unacceptable. I charged 1 dinner to my room. $200 dinner. $800 room. They charged the dinner before the stay was over. And told me they will continue to charge the card as charges come in. Until I review what they are charging nobody should be charging your cards. This was not explained and when I saw a huge charge on my card the following morning they had an explanation for everything. Excuses. Was non professional or made me feel comfortable or trust anyone with my card as security when their charging it every second they have before approving the charges or reconciling. Staff were friendly also that restaurant The Keg was the worst Keg I have ever been to with the amount of mistakes on our meal and bill. Multiple times to fix the same issue. Horrible service. All in all I would stay there again but will never eat on site and will expect a signed waiver saying no charges will be processed until pre approved. Absolutely absurd. "

"The hotel was pretty worn out and could probably do with refurbishment. The gym definitely needs a refit with very worn equipment and an old water dispenser that was empty for most of my stay. My room was very quiet and the staff were excellent. It was good value for the money."

"The room was clean and newly renovated. Hotel is currently under construction so we were offered to use the pool amd hot tub at the hotel next door. The only thing that we did not like is the set up of the room. The stove and microwave have really bright lights that shine directly towards the bed. We had a hard time sleeping because of that. I would recommend the hotel create some sort of covers for those at night time for guests in the future. "

"Staff were great, friendly and helpful, kitchen staff did a great job keeping up with the large breakfast crowds, there was heavy snowfall and staff kept up the sidewalks for walking safety. "

"Our stay at the Otter Hotel was very pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and helped with restaurant suggestions and provided umbrellas on a rainy day. There was plenty of parking in the heated garages. The ski lockers were very convenient. The coffee and hot chocolate amenities are a very nice touch. Our family ate dinner at the restaurant on site one evening. The food was just "ok" and a bit pricey. We preferred the breakfast and lunch at the sister property right next door at Sudden Sally. It is a 40 minute drive Lake Louise ski resort and a 20 minute drive to Sunshine ski. Overall, I would stay here again and recommend this hotel. "
