Rocky Mountain Cottage

This family cottage is located in the North Nordegg subdivision on 1.26 acres of land with direct access to surrounding crown land and direct access to the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains. Activities in the area include hiking, fishing, ATV with many trails, lakes and rivers at your doorstep. This fully equipped cottage provides all the amenities and comforts you desire including satellite, high speed internet via Starlink and a collection of DVD's. Enjoy a fire inside or out and enjoy the many activities this mountain region has to offer. The opportunities for adventure are endless in historic Nordegg! Please note that dogs and cats have stayed in the cottage from time to time.

Fantastic large, well-equipped cabin in the mountains. *Excellent* dark skies for astrophotography. Set the telescope up in the dark back yard, and run it from inside sitting on the couch by the warm fireplace.

Amazing getaway

This was the perfect getaway for my 50th birthday with friends. The Bose speaker was a great addition to the other amenities! Pillows were super soft as well. Would happily come back and stay here again!

Really enjoyed your cabin! We did a little bit of riding our E bikes, hiked one day. Enjoyed a fire out in the backyard on a beautiful day.Bbqd steaks on our last night. Everything was great!

Great cabin for getaway in the mountains

We can’t say enough about the stay we had here, this property was everything we hoped for. The cabin was very clean and well kept, it has great views out the large windows at all times of the day and it was a pleasure dealing with Darcy throughout the process especially since this was our first VRBO experience. We look forward to booking again!

Perfect spot!

Excellent location, great views and an overall great experience. Little extras like little snacks and lots of general household supplies. The hosts were super fast to respond if I had any questions. Great value for the area!

Location is private and very close to scenic hiking trails! Easy access to gas and convenience stores in Nordegg. Loved the fire pit, we used it both nights we were there. Comfortable beds, very cozy indoor space. We will definitely consider renting again if we are in the area!

The cabin was super cozy & clean. Cabin was fully equipped with all the amenities bedding, towels and kitchen items. The fireplace (with lots of cut wood) added to the experience of a escape to a mountain location.

Wedding celebration

This was a fantastic place to stay. It was a beautiful home, that was spotless and welcoming. The front deck was a great place to enjoy breakfast and/or coffee, and to visit with family. The fire pit was well stocked with wood and was very inviting. We wish we had booked a few more days at this great location! We definitely plan to return!

Great getaway

Amazing location, everything was very well organized. Firewood was available for us to use, there was welcome basket in the kitchen with information of the area. House is well-kept and comfortable, you can tell Darcy and his family had lots of great family moments there. Definitely would come back again. Thank you Darcy for great stay!

Ideal Experience

The overall experience was ideal. Everything was just as advertised. My friends and I have fallen in love with the Nordegg area and will definitely return. It was definitely more affordable than some of the other properties in the same area. Mr. O'brien was helpful and respectful. We will definitely do business with him again.

Excellent launch pad for winter adventure!

This place is a perfect getaway on the footsteps of the rockies. We had a great couple of days here. The cabin is beautiful and well appointed. Our kids had a blast riding their sleds down the hill in the backyard, and there's lots of movies and games to keep them occupied indoors as well. The only downside was getting the fireplace going without having smoke spill out into the house was a bit of a challenge but thankfully we got it after a few tries. Overall a great spot to unwind and get out in the great outdoors!

A perfect Weekend Getaway

My husband and I were looking for private accommodations in a mountain setting, and this did not disappoint. Communication with the property manager/owner was great, Darcy was very responsive. The house was presented well and clean and the area is beautiful. Good quality towels and linens, kitchen well-stocked with pots, pans, drinkware - everything you need. The welcome basket with treats and tour info was a very nice touch. Check-in and check-out info was handy to have and made the process seamless. The Nordegg area has many trails for outdoor activities. Would love to go back and explore more! Thanks for having us!
