Beautiful Akumal two bedroom townhouse with private plunge pool
****DISCOUNTED RATES FOR ACTIVE AND RETIRED FIRST RESPONDERS****Two story townhouse located within the gated Bahia Principe Golf and Residence (Tulum Country Club) complex in Akumal. This townhouse has a self contained bedroom with kitchenette, bathroom and private terrace on the main floor. The main level is an open concept living, dining and kitchen with a half bathroom. There is a large terrace off the living room which has dining space, loungers, private plunge pool and a gas BBQ. The second floor has the main bedroom with bathroom and another large terrace with seating and loungers. The plunge pool has just been refurbished with a stone waterfall feature. The second floor terrace pergola has also been upgraded. New outdoor furniture and lighting has been added to both the main floor and second floor terraces reflecting the recent updates.We have just added a new soaker bathtub on the second floor terrace for more added luxury and enjoyment of our guests.
Guests have access to the private beach club which has palapas, restaurant, bar and a pool. Guests also have discounted rates to day/night passes to the Bahia Principe resorts, spa and PGA golf course. Discounts for guests also apply to the restaurants at the golf course. The beach is only a 10-12 minute walk or use the shuttles that run throughout the day and evening. The golf course and restaurants are all within a 8-10 minute walk or with the shuttles. The complex now has a market place with groceries, bakery and a golf cart rental office. Close to Akumal Bay for diving and snorkling with sea turtles, numerous restaurants, convience stores, pharmacy, etc...
Approximately 1 - 1 hour 10 minutes from the Cancun Airport.

I did not get to try out property amenities as we were out and about everyday. We slept very well as beds were comfortable. The property manager and owner were receptive and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone. There is a very secure checkin process at gate, and keep it very safe.
Lovely home. Nicely laid out for two couples lots of privacy and terrific common areas. Kitchen has everything you need and groceries are close or visit one of the many restaurants near by. We really enjoyed Jool Bolom the rib steak was excellent and service was very good. The plunge pool is a great addition! Also easy to get to the beach and the host has supplied beach chairs, umbrella and a wagon, so handy and saves from renting a palapa. Close to Tulum ruins, many cenotes and theme parks. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation.
From start to finish, our host Mike, was an excellent communicator as was his property manager, Alfredo. Check-in was a breeze and any requests or inquiries we had during our stay were immediately addressed.
The private townhome was beautiful and had all the amenities we needed to make our one week stay complete. The private patio backing onto the groomed jungle side of the Tulum Country Club created a tropical oasis which we loved. The property was clean and well maintained. A short two minute walk took us around the corner to a gorgeous pool used exclusively for this strata complex. The Kay Beach Club was also great and offered exclusive access to the ocean front.
The Tulum Golf & Country Club within which this condo/townhome complex is located is absolutely beautiful with 24 hr security which made us feel very safe during our stay.
Another interesting aspect we discovered during our time there is that within the Bahia Príncipe where the Golf & Country Club is located there are 4 or 5 hotel/resorts which offer day and/or evening all-inclusive access for a reasonable fee.
All in all, everything about our stay was top notch and we will definitely be recommending it to our friends.
We spent a total of 10 days in this wonderful vacation home and could hardly have done better! Everything was exceptionally clean and the rooms are furnished with great attention to detail - you immediately feel at home. We were particularly impressed by the fully equipped, multifunctional kitchen, which really lacks nothing - perfect for self-catering! And of course the gas barbecue on the terrace deserves a mention. The location is also great: supermarkets are within easy reach so that shopping can be done without any problems. An absolute highlight was the private terrace with the fantastic pool. It was cleaned regularly and the water quality was checked so that we could enjoy it to the full.The facilities in the house also left nothing to be desired. The two large bathrooms with rain showers offered pure luxury and the beds were incredibly comfortable - we slept like on clouds! Another highlight was the sunny terrace on the second floor, which was perfect for relaxing.We were impressed by the entire complex, as it is perfectly integrated into the jungle. Our initial concern about insects was also unfounded. Apart from one or two small mosquito bites, we didn't have any uninvited guests.A small but special detail: We took the little gecko that lived behind the large tortoise on the wall to our hearts - he made our stay that little bit nicer!All in all, a perfect vacation home that we can recommend without reservation.A big thank you also to Michael, who was
We had a wonderful time at the condo! This is a new listing and there weren’t any reviews yet but the owner was very communicative and they had great photos. Everything was clean and as it appeared in the pictures. The house came with some beach toys and towels, and also had a cooler for the beach. There is a washer dryer which was helpful. They provided detergent. We had to buy some basics like paper towels, toilet paper and we packed shampoo and soap(they did provide some small hotel style bottles).
They had most things needed to make food. We made several meals and had no issues with what was provided to make do. For sleeping there was a king, two twins(can combine) and a sofa bed. An extra blanket for the sofa bed would be a nice idea but it was a perfect temperature and she was fine. There are air condition units in each room and ceiling fans.
We had access to a small plunge pool on the patio(this wasn’t heated) and two larger pools in the anah community. They were nice but not heated (it had rained the first 3 days so the pool was a bit chilly but kids didn’t care).
We tried the Kay beach club but for a cheaper price went to xalmar(500 pesos with 400 returned in food /drink). The Kay beach club was walkable so that was nice but was $$ and they did not give return in food. We just weren’t able to have a day bed- otherwise we used their bathrooms and ordered drinks.
The property was walkable to Bahía, but need a car for anything beyond that.
Michaels property was exactly as described & shown in the photos. Both Michael & the property managers were great to deal with & extremely attentive. The kitchen was well stocked, all the furniture inside & out was in great condition & comfortable. It is also decorated beautifully & was very clean. There is alot to do both within the gated community & nearby. If you don’t want to walk alot or prefer to not take the Collectivos to explore the area I suggest a car & or golf cart /bikes. We managed fine without. There is only a small, expensive Mercadito in the area so would suggest stopping in Playa to get groceries on the way.
