"Great place to stay if you have an early flight from Newcastle."

"This was an excellent place to stay! The pub was so convenient, all staff were awesome. I wish the was a mini fridge but maybe that is a US thing? My only complaint is that this random thing happened when we went back to our room after the breakfast and before we checked out around 10. The hallway had this overwhelming smell of poop or sewage. It even was in our room. We opened the windows and we sprayed my dry shampoo in the air so we wouldn’t gag. We had to go back up 30 min later and it was gone. The curtains do not close all the way so sunlight was in my eyes at 7:45 am as well. But,it was quiet and clean."

"Parking was safe and secure. Room was very clean. The breakfasts were delicious. I can't say enough about the staff,they were brilliant, really friendly and very helpful ."

"My room had recently been re-decorated and still smelt a little of emulsion. This is a very convenient stop off on the A1. The rooms face away from the road and there is very little traffic noise. I had an nice meal at a reasonable price."

"Lovely place to visit and stay but very little parking. Room was cold on arrival due to all room windows being open . Room itself was clean and tidy. Breakfast was tasty and of a good standard and variety. Would visit again. "

" The bed was comfortable so we had a good solid sleep. Our room was clean and tidy. We had a bath as well as a shower ensuite which was perfect for relaxing in after a busy day. Theres a steam and a sauna room which were good. The hot tub is large enough for about 8 people. The fitness suite has a good selection of gym equipment. The swimming pool is more of a leisure pool than for swimming. We didnt eat here for either breakfast or evening meal. There's plenty of parking available with disabled bays and ev charging bays alongside the usual parking bays. A code is given on check in to use if you need to exit or enter the parking site out of usual working hours. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Overall aa good stay."

"Room was clean although decor was tired and in need of a refresh. We weren't informed at check in that we would be charged to use the spa facilities so unexpected cost of £7.00 each per day. Only 2 small pillows on bed, asked at reception for additional pillows and was handed them from the reception desk to take to room whilst trying to carry luggage. Not ideal. We didn't book for breakfast or eat in the hotel so I can't comment."
