"Room small and unwelcoming. Dated furniture and bathroom. Stair carpet from reception to room looks dirty and dated as does hall carpet. Paid 135.00 way overpriced for room size and furnishings, shower not very good. Beside lamps didnt work. We stay in hotels all the time. Travelodge rooms are better. Sorry this is a not very characterful pub witb y0/70's style rooms. "

"Glebe Cottage was a lovely place to stay. The location was superb with views out to sea from the cottage and hot tub. The cottage was well appointed and very clean. I read other people’s reviews so brought some scissors. Bonus of having electric car chargers right outside the cottage. It’s really thoughtful of the owners to mow the edges of the fields so you can easily walk to the coast or to Embleton village without going on the road. "The room was comfortable, clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious both in the restaurant and 24 hour cafe and very reasonably priced. It was the second time we have stayed there, and when we visit Northumberland again we will not hesitate to stay there again "
