"The bartender was rude!! The room was cold and mold in the bathroom!!"

"This property was booked specifically for the rooftop pool and views, which were meant to be the highlight of the trip. Unfortunately, the room was incredibly cramped, and the primary advertised amenity was completely inaccessible. The pool deck was closed off for a loud private event that was completely inappropriate for a standard hotel guest environment. Staff on-site gave conflicting timelines about when the event would end, but the disruption lasted the entire evening. Because the pool has limited daytime hours, there was no opportunity to use it the following morning either. The customer service recovery was nonexistent. Multiple staff members acknowledged the issue and promised a substantial refund and managerial follow-up. Instead, only a token credit was issued, and subsequent promises to investigate and return phone calls were completely ignored. It is poor business to block access to a major advertised amenity without prior notice to paying guests, but the broken promises and total lack of professional follow-through are the main reasons this property is not recommended."

"This is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff. No issues there. There were a couple things I didn’t like about my stay here though. For some reason the lobby floor has a strong perfume smell which made my stomach turn. The pool was very far away from our room. The restaurant has an amazing view but it was very expensive for what came on the plate. And overall I wish the Westin honored the beauty of this property a little bit more. It feels like all decisions made are based on the idea of what can we spend the least on and charge the most for. This hotel is one of the most beautiful architecturally in all of LA but the Westin has taken away from that by trying to make a buck."

"The property is amazing. However, I'm afraid 9/10 of the hotel staff do not seem to be happy. Service seemed very forced and not with a smile. Even the bartender at the pool seemed to be bothered fulfilling my order. Maybe the hotel management needs to work on a service-first culture? The level of high design of this Autograph property would expect a higher level of accommodative customer service, in my opinion. I still give five stars for my stay as we didn't have a negative experience, but really this property should demand an enthusiastic five+ stars. I can't give that rating today, sadly."
