"Friendly staff but poor service Basic breakfast "
I stayed here because my son will be marrying in Revello next year. Hotel is ideally located and very clean. I found the staff very friendly but the service was poor. I kept having to find staff for drinks, plates, milk. Once I found staff very helpful. Breakfast was very disappointing, I did not eat there in the evening. Went into the square which was lovely

Hotel La Ninfa - Amalfi Hotels

Hotel La Ninfa

Via Mauro Comite 35, Amalfi - Map
"Nice hotel with a great view and close to Amalfi"
Small hotel within walking distance to Amalfi center and great view of the coast. If you don't want to walk you can take the bus just outside the hotel The hotel sits right on the edge of a cliff. The room was a studio size but appropriate for us being a couple and taking in consideration the location of being built on a cliff. The view from the room and especially from the dining area was spectacular. Nothing like sitting sipping a glass of wine or a cold beer overlooking the bay. Breakfast was comparable to other places. Staff was great especially Carlo who was very gracious in providing answer and suggestions to all our questions. Parking is at a premium in the area but was able to park at a parking lot very close to the hotel for a fee.

Hotel Bellevue Suite - Amalfi Hotels

Hotel Bellevue Suite

Via Mauro Comite, n. 26, Amalfi - Map
Whenever I think of this hotel I remember the beautiful red and purple flowers hanging from its terraces. :-) Our room was spacious and had a large, nice private terrace with recliners and view towards the sea. Staff was friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast they offered (extra charge) was pretty good. You can get to downtown Amalfi by following the road for about 1.5 km, but there are good restaurants along the way much closer to the hotel, as well. While the road is pretty narrow (sometimes buses have to wait for opposite traffic ahead of tight switchbacks) and there are several spans without sidewalks, you can navigate reasonably easily with a little extra care. Within a couple hundred meters along the road (but this time going in the opposite direction of downtown) there is a gated entry from where a few hundred steps down the stairs take you to a beautiful private beach on the sea. Pay attention to the closing hour, though, as the exit at the top of the stairs is locked for the night in early evening and some people were known to have been locked inside along the years. The good news is that there are ways out that don't involve escalating walls and/or crossing barbed wire fences. ;-) Call the hotel if that happens to you! Parking at the hotel is not cheap, but parking along the street in Italy and especially around tourist attractions -- if you can find a free spot -- is not exactly safe: most cars are dinged or scratched. The fee is worth the peace of mind.

Hotel Il Nido

"Short Stay at Il Nido"
My girlfriend and I stayed at Il Nido for two nights while driving from Sicily to Naples. The hotel was easy to find and the staff very friendly upon arrival. When checking in they parked the car for us free of charge which we didn't need during our stay. The walk down to Amalfi harbour was fine for us however some older people struggled with the stairs as the hotel is on the hill. Great views with our own semi private balcony. Breakfast was simple and pretty standard from what we experienced with the few other places we stayed at on our trip. The hotel is right on the coastal road so traffic can be noisey on the balcony however the balcony doors seemed well insulated for sound so the room was reasonably quiet. Showers pretty tight for tall people and the water pressures a bit low. Check out time seemed very casual at 11 or 11:30am.

Hotel Margherita

"Best Choice on the Amalfi Coast"
This was our first time on the Amalfi Coast and if we knew when we were booking how outstanding the Hotel Margherita is we would have stayed there longer. To begin the welcome is so warm and thoughtful covering every detail. The staff is very kind and polite at all times. We were delighted that our accommodation was upgraded without our request. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The Hotel is a destination in itself with a pool and a spacious lounge area. We would rate the breakfast as excellent and the evening meal was gourmet. The local buses connect you to all the places that you would like to visit so you do not need a car. The Hotel offers a pick up service from the bus stop. The Hotel Margherita is a must on your Amalfi Coast itinerary!
