Bed and Breakfast in Valletta

"My stay in 66 St Pauls was brilliant. I have never been to Malta before, so when a business meeting in Malta happened, I took the opportunity to stay another 4 days there. It is always difficult finding a hotel in a place that you have never been to; where do you go? what sort of hotel? will the area be good? will there be local restaurants around? will the staff be friendly and knowledgeable? will the place be clean? After careful consideration, I chose 66 St Pauls and was not disappointed. The hotel is on an typical Valetta street, long, straight, with tall buildings. A small entrance opens up into a grand atrium. Stone walls, marble floors. Immediately greeted by friendly staff, offered (gratis) coffee, and a general chat. Shown to my room, air conditioning and other controls demonstrated. The room was spacious, well decorated, clean. Large clean bathroom with high volume shower, always important. My room had no views, which didn't matter to me. There are amazing views over the grand harbour from the small pool area at the top of the hotel. Breakfast is the only meal the hotel provides, a wonderful continental style breakfast (including cold meats and fish), always beautifully laid out every morning. The hotel is 200 yards from the main street of Valetta (but you don't hear a sound from the street). There are dozens of good restaurants in the immediate area. And lots of Valetta and Malta to explore. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and will stay again next year"

"Fantastic hotel, definitely worth the money for the service you get from the staff. Each morning at breakfast, the Manager, or a staff member assist you on ideas to do that day! Our room was upgraded to a room with 2 bathrooms & the bedroom upstairs (may not be good for people with mobility issues) TV had a good amount of English shows. Situated in the heart of Valletta. Bottle of wine was a nice touch - oh also rooftop terrace was great, especially if there’s a concert next door to eavesdrop on"

"Excellent staff, dealt with any issues quickly, great room with large terrace. Very quiet yet only 5/10 mins from the busy streets of Valetta. Took the breakfast option when booked and it was certainly a good choice. Set us both up for the day ahead. Breakfast staff efficient and extremely friendly. Highly recommend this hotel when visiting Valetta."

"Boutique hotel right in the middle of Valletta. The location is perfect for exploring the city and is only one street away from Merchants St. The staff are excellent, especially those on breakfast duty. The rooms are clean and the bed comfortable. The shower in the bathroom was really good. Rooms also had both UK and EU sockets. Rooms had A/C, a safe and a smsll fridge. Note most rooms face into a central 'atrium' so there is very little natural light. A couple of things to make it even better would be more drawer space in the rooms and perhaps someone to man the bar in the evenings to enjoy a late drink or coffee. I didn't see anywhere else i would have preferred to stay, so i can thoroughly recommend this hotel."
