"Quaint little cottage, so close to everything. Transport is fantastic. Would have stayed longer here, you have everything you need and more. Very comfortable and the host Sue is very resposive and so lovely. Would recommend this place to anyone. Beach is just down road, airpot is 9kms away and no going through city to get to it. Beach front all the way. Thanks again we loved it. X"

"I was very impressed. I loved the history of the old stables - now converted tastefully into accommodation, and I thoroughly enjoyed the native plant arboretum and nursery where I saw many rare native plants. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly too."

"Large 1970s house. Tidy and good location to beach, cafes and 4 square shop. Reasonably happy with stay but there some things that need addressing.1) Upstairs Queen bed- the mattress springs gone on the right side and the mattress feels like you are sleeping on a slope. Definitely needs replacing 2) Lack of outdoor chairs on the deck 3) Pool cue sticks in garage has lost their tips and need to be replaced 4) outside furniture (table and chairs could do with a good clean or be replaced 5) BBQ -...

"Highly recommend this accommodation if you are seeking a private, secluded place to stay but within easy, short travel to the city (any of Wgtn, Lower Hutt or Porirua). The deck area is fantastic - a view of the forest, great couches and the hot tub. We will definitely book again."

"Our stay was eveything we hoped it would be. We ventured out during the say to Ocean Beach, Lake Ferry and Cape Pallisade. The beds were top quality and we all slept well. Hosts were super friendly."

"Fantastic romantic retreat in the middle of nature. Loved the extra large bath and outdoor shower, but the amount of stars to see at night is just beautiful! A true disconnect from everything to relax, read and take in the amazing scenery."

"Our stay here was twofold. One: quality time together and Two: a tryout for the young dogs in a boarding kennel not far away. The last night the dogs stayed with us. The bach was awesome. Very well laid out and complete. If anything, we couldn’t find any ice cube trays so our G&T was a bit make do. For the rest just great. Hear the moreporks at night, swim in the river at Pots Reserve. Best kept secret: Kuku Beach. Don’t go there folks to keep it a secret 😁"
