"We stayed for two nights. The accommodation is excellent, but we were not aware that it is a rental rather than a hotel. Therefore there was nobody available to check us in and had we not spoke Spanish, would have been in a difficult situation. We had to locate our room ourselves, which was unexpected and took us a while to locate as it is a large building. The property is on the outskirts of Tulum and taxis are needed to travel around.
