"Out of all the places we stayed on our north/South Island journey, this is the house we wished we’d had an extra night. The house is lovely, clean, and walking distance along the riverside foot path to the town, where you can grab lunch or set out on an adventure. The balcony has views of the mountain and the kitchen has the essentials. The hosts were super responsive on an issue we had with the hot tub and went above and beyond to make sure al was well."

"The log cabin was even more beautiful than the photos. With a roaring fire to welcome us on arrival and the hot spa on the deck ready with mountain views was just bliss. Kids enjoyed gathering dead wood for the outdoor firepit, played boardgames into the evening, enjoyed the view of Ruapehu while sitting outside. Gorgeous location."
