"We loved our stay here. The picture window looking over the water was beautiful. The cabin was wonderfully simple and yet held all we needed. I had tried to book it for 4 nights but it was only available for 2 when we were there. "One of the messages from the property didn't come through, the one that gave decent directions. Several places en route looked like they were the property. "We spent two nights in Willie McLeod's house on Skye. The house is located way out on the peninsula, about an hour from Portree. It overlooks a sheep farm and far views of the sea. Be sure to reference Lorraine's instructions as GPS/SatNav might not work. The home is very comfortable. We enjoyed a fire one night because the evening was cool, but also had an impromptu picnic on the picnic bench the next (warm) afternoon. Lorraine was not at the property but she communicated with us so well...

"If only the owners would listen to the customer feedback from previous guests! All the same niggling issues stop this from getting g a 5 star rating. "We only stayed for 3 nights but enjoyed our time. We easily commuted to Skye each day for wonderful hiking, returning to a cozy home by the water. Anna was wonderful, there was an issue with the internet, we didn’t even know was a problem until she reached out with a plan to have it fixed. Before we returned from hiking she had dispatched her local contact to fix the issue. We loved the efforts Anna took to maintain the original feel of the home, while updating where necessary - best shower!!!...

"We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. "
