Bed and Breakfast in Santiago

"Residential neighborhood with b and b in an old converted house. Rooms ok with modernized baths. Breakfast poor with canned pineapple in a country known for great fruit.Employees very nice but you feel the absence of an owner’s touch."

"We "discovered" this place online and were impressed with the reviews. Travesia did not disappoint! It is an old 2-story 7-room connected row house located in the heart of Santiago. It has been nicely restored but has kept much of the charm of an old residence. No elevator, no air conditioning, squeaky stairs no screens but our room opened onto a small balcony and a breeze made our stay pleasant even on a hot February (summer in Chile!) evening. The host, Margarita is a very helpful bilingual...

"This was a very interesting place. Quite eccentric. We were greeted by a porcelain doll. We met Lobito the cat who came to visit us in our room a few times. A home converted into a B&B. Friendly service."

"The description on the website says 2 twin beds. I got one twin bed and a very very small room. Whereas the husband of the couple running the place was friendly and helpful, the wife makes one feel incredibly unwelcome. She did the following: upon arrival I was informed they didn't know about my reservation (made a month in advance) and they also didn't agree with the price for my booking made through hotels com. They said it should be more. After hours of being in limbo this was finally...
